Our most Picasso-like artist who is confident enough for his own style to have developed but not to show the influence of his friend and mentor, Carel Weight Studied Sutton School of Art 1959/62, Wimbledon School of Art 1962/4 and the Royal College of Art 1964-67, British School in Rome 1967-8. He considers it important to help younger students not only for their benefit but also to keep his mind alert and ideas fresh. He started teaching in 1968 and is currently resting from his teaching at the Royal Academy Schools. Collections include Hove Museum & Art Gallery, Towner Museum & Art Gallery, Eastbourne, Prof. Carel Weight CH. RA. , Rye Art Gallery, Sussex, Bolton Museum and Art Gallery, Roger de Gray PRA, Prudential Assurance and the TSB have pictures and Major Tapestry for their Midland Headquarters.
