One of the longest living pre-eminent artist in oil. The son of Spencer Gore. Gore studied at the Ruskin School of Art while at Oxford, then the Westminster School of Art, then the Slade and immediately on leaving had his first one-man show at the Redfem Gallery, Bond Street. Has written many books on art and contributed to many more as his work is collected worldwide. One of his paintings was used as the poster for the Royal Academy Summer show about 1994/5. One of his paintings was reproduced on an earner bag by Tesco’s September 1997 and millions were printed. His work usually sells out at the Royal Academy every year. He has never used the fact that he is the son of Spencer Gore to promote his work, wanting the viewer to appreciate it for its own beauty. Work in Museums include Reading, Plymouth, Southampton, Vatican, Victoria & Albert Museums.
