Leonard Rosoman

Leonard Rosoman was an official War Artist to the Admiralty in World War II and the Imperial War Museum has a large collection of his work. He taught many post war artists such as David Hockney and Peter Blake during his lectureship at the Royal College of Art that lasted from 1957 to 1978. He is a member of the Royal Academy and was awarded the OBE for his services to Art. Friend of Carel Weight & Sir Roger De Gray who was the President of the Royal Academy. He is well known for his murals and he was commissioned to decorate the Archbishop of Canterbury’s private Chapel at Lambeth Palace.
