Art Deco Carpet
This 72" diameter ART DECO carpet which is of exceptional quality sadly is not signed but the quality just jumps out. It was made c 1930 and is in excellent condition. I suspect it was used in a room with very little light as the colours have not faded but sculptured carpets like this were often used as wall hangings or in the centre of a room. There are no obvious signs of wear nor signs where a piece of furniture stood on it - a centre table was quite common then. The carpet at Eltham Palace which is round had furniture sitting on it which has marked the carpet.

Though not a painting it is certainly a wonderful work of art and deserves to be in an art lover's home.
