Production Cells

Production cells are the original pieces of artwork that were used in the making of films. Each picture is unique but closely related to the one immediately preceding or following it. This system of film making uses 24, 36 or 48 frames per second giving the appearance of continuous movement, developed by people such as Walt Disney, whereas the English films of the same time used a technique with one detailed painting and the camera moved over the painting during the narration.
