This important oil painting by The "Master" of the English Landscape was painted in 1797 and there is a very rare original print of it. However I have been unable to find a copy. Print dealers I spoke to have not seen one for many years. The painting is included in the Catalogue Raisonne on the early works of John Constable by Graham Reynolds. It is currently on Loan to the Beecroft Art Gallery and Museum, Southend, Essex where it is a major exhibit. It still has the original carved gilt frame.
