Bob Broadley

Born 1939, Bob studied at Kingston School of Art (now Kingston University) between 1955-59. Here here he studied stained glass techniques, Silkscreen printing, Lithography & Photography.

Following his graduation he worked in advertising and specialised in package designs, including the logo for Bird Eye Garden Peas, Cowan Gate Baby Foods corporate work, Wall's Ice Cream, Borzoi Vodka Label & Vladivar Vodka label. In 1977 he resigned to make toys and decorative painted furniture but since 1982 has concentrated on paintings only .

He has exhibited work at Edwin Pollard Gallery, New Grafton Gallery, Contempory Fine Art Eton, Mall Galleries, Hicks Gallery, Battersea Art Fair as well as the International Gallery. Work by Bob Broadley is in collections in New York and throughout Europe .

His intention is to consolidate the frame, mount and painting into one harmonious and attractive entity, arresting the viewer's attention and leading it into a more thought provoking and memory-jogging aspect within the actual image. Just as in fairy-tales, the simple plot is a vehicle for a far more meaningful message.
